Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day

Today the USA celebrates Thanksgiving Day, a tradition of almost 400 years old and still celebrated (these days often followed by huge sales but that is another story). Though we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving Day here in the Netherlands I do want to say thanks after the events of the last year.

I want to say thanks to my family for their support and help over the last couple of months, mainly my parents who gave me support, advice, a roof over my head, food in my belly. Without them I probably would not have in february my wonderfull amazing house (also which was discovered by my mother to be exact). I don’t know what would have happened to me without my family, probably still be renting rooms and making a bigger mess of my life but thanks to them, all of them my life is getting better each day as the day is coming that the appartment is done. I would almost become religious if I did not know better (and I am god after all, you know, bringing the light and I see that it is good) because I know that they really helped me land on my feet and there are not enough words to specify my gratitude except for invite them next year for Thanksgiving :D, I think that that might be a very good idea.

I am glad to have such good friends that I can talk to, complain to 😉 and just know they are there for me as I always try to do my best for them and will continue to do that. My door will always be open if you want to talk , complain or relax (Netflix and chill) or even if you just want to hide from the rain. If I am at home drop on by (just remember that there is no smoking inside the house, there is a balcony though).

And my work, my amazing job with my great colleagues. I know, I am not always the easiest guy to work with, I know I take it very seriously and yes, the projectors are my children but without it, without you guys and our colorfull visitors (yes, even the visitors of last mondayafternoon in theater 3 who left that “wonderfull” souvenir for us to find), I go to work everyday with a smile because I love what I do, I love our product and when I see even just one child smile after the show or rolling down the stairs laughing loudly I know that we have done what we are supposed to do, make our visitors happy and give them an experience they never forget (again, visitors in theater 3, if there will be a baby please name it Utopia or something, you know, to remember us, enabeling you to have a smile).

Either way everybody, have a good turkey day, gobble gobble and go stuff your faces tonight 😉 but most of all, enjoy the time with your family and friends. Please treasure them!

Ps. And thank you Cameron Crowe for the movie Elizabethtown ;-).
