May

Can it actually get any better then this? Guess what, it can! Please note that I haven’t seen previews of all the movies coming but this is purely based on the previews that I have seen so far.

May 2nd:

Scary Movie 5
Snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French dance company director Pierre is putting on a new production. Jody, a Caucasian late-20s mother of two and her late-20s African American friend Kendra are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her. The highly skilled mid-30s Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather Daltry, gets cut from the production and goes berserk.
I don’t know what to say about it, it has moved away a lot from it’s origin and yet, I watch it hoping it will one day reach the original level. It has some new stars in it but will it be as good as the first two? I highly doubt it but we will see. With Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan.

Jurassic Park 3D
Huge advancements in scientific technology have been able to create an island full of living dinosaurs. John Hammond has invited four individuals, plus his two grandchildren to join him at Jurassic Park. But will everything go to plan? Especially when one of the parks own workers attempt to steal the dinosaurs embryos, and have to shut down all the electricity in the process. It’s now a race for survival with everyone located all over the island.
The original movie was brilliant and at some moments terrifying and now it is coming back, in 3D. I am always a bit sceptic about movies being turned into 3D movies but I think that this might be one of the best conversions. The movie itself is already fantastic so absolutely a must see for me!

May 9th:

Mama

Annabel and Lucas are faced with the challenge of raising his young nieces that were left alone in the forest for 5 years…. but how alone were they?
Sounds creepy but familiar right? The trailer title made me think it was a romantic comedy but it is absolutely not the case.

The Big Wedding
A long-divorced couple fakes being married as their family unites for a wedding.
Robert De Niro in a comedy, it does not happen often but he really has a talent for it.

May 16th:

The Great Gatsby
An adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Long Island-set novel, where Midwesterner Nick Carraway is lured into the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. Soon enough, however, Carraway will see through the cracks of Gatsby’s nouveau riche existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await.
I loved the book, I am very curious how it will look in the end. The one thing I have doubts about is why it was turned into a 3D movie. Guess we have to wait and see.

May 23rd:

Fast & Furious 6
Absolutely nothing actually that they have told us about the story yet besides some locations. Yet this is a no-brainer for me. I love this franchise!

May 29th:

Epic
A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world — and ours.
It reminds me a lot about Fern Gully: The Last Rain Forrest. The trailer looks like a lot of fun for young and old. And to be honest, from the creators of Rio and Ice Age, I have no doubts, this movie will be great!

May 30th:

The Hangover 3
This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.
Time to return with The Wolfpack to Las Vegas, also unfortunately no trailer yet but again, this is a no-brainer for me.
