July

We have reached the 2nd half of the year? Will it remain strong? Please note that I haven’t seen previews of all the movies coming but this is purely based on the previews that I have seen so far.

July 3rd:

Despicable Me 2
Gru, the girls, the unpredictably hilarious minions and a host of new characters return.
Nothing concrete about the story itself but hey, more minions=more fun so why not enjoy this sequel :).

July 4th:

World War Z
A U.N. employee is racing against time and fate, as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic.
Zombies with Brad Pitt, haven’t read the book though I might do that after watching this movie. July can’t come soon enough :).

July 10th:

Monsters University
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
The original movie was not one of the Pixar movies that comes in my top 100 but it was still a lot of fun. I hope that this one will be better than the original.

July 18th:

Grown Ups 2
After Lenny Feder moves his family back to his home town, he and his friends learn some lessons from their kids on the last day of school.
The first movie was hilarious, one of the few movies I can watch all the time. I hope the sequel will also be very funny.

Unfortunately there is no trailer yet available of this movie.

Kick-Ass 2
The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.

Unfortunately no trailer yet available of this movie.

Pacific Rim
When an alien attack threatens the Earth’s existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.
The plot reminds me a bit of the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers but when you see the trailer it looks a bit like Battleship meets the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. But it really looks awesome so I am looking forward to it.

July 25th:

The Wolverine
Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior.
Unfortunately that is all they have announced about the movie actually besides the cast, no pictures nor a trailer, I guess we just need to have faith.
